Course description- Students will learn modern technology skills for this class. For example, the students start each day in this class by working on "AEF Summer Journals," in which they are required to answer one of the questions daily. Through this proccess, the studenta not only improve there writing skills, they also learn how to tyoe faster. They will also learn how to keyboard [type] from an online program called Typing Web. They will also be learning all the different usages that gmail provides. For computer graphics, they will be learning how to manipulate pictures using Paint software and Photoshop express. They will be able to to make changes to the original pictures such as changing the color, adding texts and etc... They will be learning how to use presentation software such as Microsoft Powerpoint and desktop pulishing such as MS. publisher. At the end of the course, they will be presenting their Wikispaces website.

Single Subject Social Studies Credential, with CLAD
Biography- Mr. Tran has taught AEF computer classes for the past 4 years. During the regular school year, Mr. Tran is the Social Studies Chairperson and Technollogy coordinator for ynez middle school, Alhambra School District. Mr. Tran leads the technology integration effort for this California Distinguished School for the last 14 years. His dual responsability includes being a secondary social studies teacher where he has completely integrated the curriculm with technology. Aside from being a full-time teacher, Mr. Tran is also a proffessor for the University of Phoenix. He recieved his MA: Education-New Media Design and Production at Cal State LA. He completed his undergraduate work at UCLA in history, and is currently a doctoral at UC Irvine. Mr. Tran is also a commisioned officer in the United States Naval Reserve.
